On the weekend of May 12th - 14th 2017 there was an Exhibition of the Desmond Jones art going to auction, at Orleans House. It was in the lovely Coach House.

Preview Evening Friday May 12th

Around 50 special guests, including His Worship, the Mayor of Richmond Upon Thames, David Linette came to the Preview Evening of the Exhibition, with wine and nibbles, thanks to "Last Try Wines".

There was a great buzz and the feedback from the viewing of the paintings "in the flesh" was very positive,

"I love the vibrancy, colour and movement of the dancers, particularly the 'Pink and Blue'", Janice

"Amazing diversity in his work"
Heidi, Spear

The Mayor and Lady Mayoress, Pippa, particularly liked the watercolour titled "The Field" (Cat No 20)  and will probably put a commission bid on that one, since they will be unable to attend the auction itself.

Public Viewing May 13th and 14th

The exhibition was open from 10am - 5pm on Saturday and 10am - 3pm on Sunday.

Thanks to the pre-publicity and help of posters along the road at the front of Orleans House, we had plenty of enthusiastic visitors over the weekend!

Moved by the quality of the art as well as the involvement of all the charities, a number of visitors took leaflets vowing to hand them out to passers by to encourage them to come along and take a look at the work!

There were also plenty of comments from visitors, who also had artists in their family and paintings in storage, about the whole concept being a model for their own future charity art sales!

Here is what the entire exhibition looked like, if you missed it...
